Quantum out of equilibrium systems

Leticia F. Cugliandolo and Gregory Schehr

The thermalisation properties of large dimensional classical and quantum closed systems have re-gained interest in recent years. Of particular appeal are macroscopic classically integrable systems for which the approach to Gibbs-Boltzmann equilibrium is not ensured and alternative asymptotic measures could be the relevant ones in the stationary state. Systems with quenched randomness are also attractive, in particular because of their relevance for quantum glasses and many-body localisation. The group studies various aspects of these systems with analytic techniques. Special focus emphasis is given to the study of simple though non-trivial models such as the Neumann Integrable Model, ensembles of non-non-interacting fermions constrained by different potentials, etc.
