Ttbar plus jets study

The idea is to perform a systematic study and comparison of the ttbar plus jets process, using the available codes, in particular

  • ttbar+jet NLO (Dittmaier, Uwer, Weinzierl)
  • MC@NLO
  • POWHEG
  • ALPGEN
  • MADGRAPH
  • PYTHIA
  • Note also interest from MPI subgroup: ttbar + 2jets from double parton interactions as background to b' searches, cf., studies with PYTHIA 8 carried out and reported on by P. Bartalini at Les Houches.

We plan to systematically compare the codes using relevant distributions, understand and learn from observed differences.
