Chern-Simons matrix models
Chern-Simons matrix models were introduced ten years ago and have found many important applications in quantum field theory and string theory. I will review the main properties and applications of these models, and in particular their recent use in topological string theory and in the AdS/CFT correspondence. I will also list some open problems concerning the planar limit and the 1/N expansion of these models.
