Mark Goodsell's teaching page
Here are the slides for the first lecture for 2025.
The remainder of the course is split into three parts:
- Part 1 concerns Particle physics.
- Part 2 treats Effective Field Theories. Here are exercises and solutions.
- Part 3 is about cracks in the Standard Model and physics beyond it.
The written examination will take place in the normal hours of the course and will follow the format of this mock examination. In particular, you may prepare the part B in advance and hand it in with the exam.
This is a new course, done in tandem with Nicolas Morange. Here are the notes for the course.
The topics covered are expected to be:
- EFTs
- Problems of the Standard Model
- Dark Matter
- Supersymmetry
- Precision tests of the Standard Model
- Strongly coupled models, composite Higgs, Randall Sundrum models.
PHE Master 2, SUSY 2019-20
These are the notes from my SUSY course which ran until 2019-20:
Doctoral course on Supersymmetry, with Karim Benakli and Pietro Slavich, 2024
This was a new course aimed at PhD and Master 2 students interested in high-energy physics in general, starting from the basics of SUSY and including phenomenological and formal topics.
The course indico page was here.
