Traveling:

Participants should take a flight landing at the International Airport of Athens.

On Sunday, May 15th, there will be taxis sent from Chalkida to the Airport in order to take the participants directly to Paliria Hotel. Each taxi could typically take 3 passengers and the cost per taxi should not be more than 120 Euros (that is 40 Euros/person). Similarly, we can arrange for taxis to take people to the airport at the end of the workshop. Assuming normal traffic, it should be a 1-hour ride.

It is possible to travel from Athens Airport to the Conference Venue using public transportation. However, it will not be significantly cheaper and it will take (much) more time.

First alternative: BUS

Take the bus X93 from Athens Airport and get off at the Intercity Bus Terminal KTEL Liosion (NOT at KTEL Kifisos which is the last stop). From there, there is an intercity bus to Chalkida typically every 1/2 hour, except at later hours, with the last bus leaving at 22:30. When you arrive at the Bus Station in Chalkida take a local taxi, costing a few Euros, to get to the hotel.

Second alternative: TRAIN

Take the Suburban Railway from Athens Airport to SKA (Rail Center of Acharnes). From there take a train to Chalkida. Notice that from SKA there is a direct train to Chalkida only every 2 hours. If the train is not direct, you will have to change again at Oinoi, with a presumably long connection time. After you arrive at the train station in Chalkida, you can walk to the Hotel.
